Did You Know?

Established in 1808, Knox County was named after General Henry Knox, the first U.S. Secretary of War. Mount Vernon, the county seat, became a center for education and industry, including cooperage (barrel-making) and glass production. Today, the county remains known for its agriculture and small-town charm.
