Did You Know?

Established in 1803, Greene County was named after General Nathanael Greene, a hero of the American Revolution. The county became known for its abolitionist movement, with Wilberforce University (founded in 1856) being the first college owned and operated by African Americans. Wright-Patterson Air Force Base also plays a significant role in the local economy.
