Coshocton County

Did You Know?

Founded in 1810, Coshocton Countyโ€™s name comes from a Native American word meaning โ€œunion of waters.โ€ The county was an early center for Ohioโ€™s canal system, particularly with the Ohio and Erie Canal running through it. The region became known for publishing, including the famous Johnson-Humrickhouse Museum, and its history in the printing and newspaper industries.
